INTRODUCTION
(Updated 9/03)
Welcome
to "Project Infamous." Project Infamous started
life as one of only 16 thousand or so Mustangs to be ordered with
the "Bench Seat" option. Beyond that it was not too far
different than the over one million 'Stangs FORD produced in this
cars historical first 3 years. With the sponsorship of a few of
the Automotive Specialty Aftermarket Companies and the desire to
make an impact by the cars owners, this Mustang is sure to carve
it's initials in the streets of Southern California.
After
years of racing the INFAMOUS 1965 Mustang in the Factory Stock
Class, the cast iron cylinder heads were retired! The crew at
JBA Racing in San Diego engineered a 302ci power plant to put the
classic pony down the track in a respectable manor. You now can view all of the components that
went into
this project as well as the step by step breakdown of the build.

Putting a fierce engine in "Project Infamous" was
just the start. Adding the a contemporary set of dials was needed.
This job fell in the hands of JME in San Diego. The JME
Billet Gauge Bezel with AutoMeter Phantom Gauges was the
only solution. This allowed a complete restoration of the factory
interior without the addition of clutter. The entire interior was
restored with the only modifications being a roll bar and the
gauges.
So here we are today. The hard part seems behind us. A mean drive
train, a resto-mod interior, and now we need to wrap this project
in paint and body. The car has always been white, leaving the FORD
assembly plant in December of 1964 in a clean coat of Wimbledon
white. Then getting fresh coat
of Polar White in the early 90's. It now must graduate to a suit
of armor. Plans are in the works for an E2 Body Kit and a
Gun Metal Gray pigment. Details to be announced before Halloween
2003.
We hope you enjoy what has been assembled here for your review.

Mustang as it becomes available.
